Tracey Welson-Rossman
Director of Business Development
Tracey Welson-Rossman's primary responsibilities include business development, lead generation and channel management. She is responsible for defining and maintaining Chariot's marketing plan, and for executing a wide array of marketing and promotional activities. Ms. Welson-Rossman is also involved in the firm's sales and recruiting operations.
Among her accomplishments at Chariot is the creation of a partner channel consisting of software vendors and consulting firms that complement Chariot's service offerings. Ms. Welson-Rossman is also responsible for a successful branding campaign, the purpose of which is to establish Chariot Solutions as the premier Java resource in the region.
Ms. Welson-Rossman continues to be very active in the local IT community. In 2003, she started the Delaware Valley BEA Users Group and co-founded the Women's Networking Leadership Group. Ms. Welson-Rossman is a well-rounded entrepreneur who has excelled in a variety of positions since 1985. Prior to joining Chariot Solutions, she spent three years as the Director of Marketing at Skylight Systems, an accounting software company that specializes in solutions for mid-size and large wholesale distributors. While at Skylight, Ms. Welson-Rossman devised and successfully implemented a new marketing strategy and branding program. As a result of her efforts, Skylight Systems was able to expand its target market to include mid-size companies by offering a hosted (ASP) version of its software. In addition, Ms. Welson-Rossman created a new channel sales campaign focusing on CPA firms and consultants. By forming close relationships with CPA firms that give referrals to their clients, Skylight was able to significantly increase its customer base. Ms. Welson-Rossman also created an effective partner program for Skylight Systems. She was involved in the creation and design of marketing collateral, Skylight's web site, and media/public relations.
In 1996 Ms. Welson-Rossman bought, KangaKab, a New Jersey-based child transportation service company. As the President and owner, Ms. Welson-Rossman was able to increase company sales by 50% within two years. While developing and maintaining 500 clients in New Jersey and a ten person staff, she started a similar operation in Pennsylvania.
Before 1996, Ms. Welson-Rossman worked as an account executive at Val-Pak of South Jersey, a buyer for QVC Cable Network, and a buyer/department manager for Strawbridge & Clothier. She graduated from Drexel University with a B.S. degree in Business Administration, with Retail Management/Marketing as her field of concentration.
