The SOA Lab's Virtual Enterprise (VE) provides a “pluggable” environment for various integration products. The flexible VE is comprised of an array of configurable endpoints (or applications) that model common business systems. These endpoints are designed with a protocol mediation layer that can quickly adapt to various integration protocols, such as JMS, EJB, File/FTP, HTTP, SOAP, JDBC, and SMTP. The mediation layer enables rapid modeling of “real world” business scenarios with little or no coding. The VE endpoints, mediation layer and runtime environment are all built on a stack of Open Source Software (OSS) technologies, including Geronimo, the Spring Framework, Mule, ActiveMQ, Apache Axis and more. This controlled environment is ideal for product evaluation, proof-of-concepts, training and more.
